Sylvie Ferland
is a paralegal since 1989. She joined Monette Barakett in1993 and pursued her career in this firm until 2013, when she decided to offer her services on a freelance basis while continuing her cooperation with Monette Barakett. She began her career in business law, receiving sustained training that allows her to interpret corporate legislation accurately and assist the lawyers in the performance of their mandates. Her position at Monette Barakett allowed her to further develop her skills over this twenty year period, and to perfect her knowledge of religious institutional and charity law. This led her to master their operating regime while continuing to support the firm’s lawyers in business law. Sylvie Ferland is a member of the CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF PARALEGALS (CAP) and the INTERNATIONAL PARALEGAL MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (IPMA). She received from the CAP, a Canadian organization with 400 paralegal members in Canada, the annual Award in 2012, to recognize her exceptional contribution to the development of the profession of paralegal, and to the promotion of the CAP. |
