Me Gilles Bertrand
has worked at Miller Thomson Pouliot from 1999 to 2012. For the last five years, at the Montreal office, he has been a member of the national knowledge management group. He has prepared and put up on the firm’s portal many business law model documents and collaborated to the inclusion on the portal of suretyship model documents. Earlier in his career, Me Bertrand has been a partner at the law firm of Guy & Gilbert which he cofounded in 1969. He mainly acted as a business lawyer: incorporations, mergers & acquisitions, sale and reorganisation of enterprises, etc. |
Furthermore, teaching has always been an occupation of the greatest interest. At the Université de Montreal, he has been a lecturer in business law for articling students in the notarial profession. Within the firms where he has worked, he has given such formation to the firms’ young lawyers and paralegals. For the past few years, Me Bertrand teaches business law to future lawyers at the Bar of Québec .Finally, Me Bertrand has given lectures and conferences, in particular to members of accounting firms, on new legislation as it comes into force.
